- Choosing a main keyword phrase to focus on
- Choosing a small list of alternate keyword phrases to target
- Creating a series of optimized blog posts optimized for that phrase
- Changing the keywords in the website’s title and other essential spots on the homepage
- Checking character count on all page titles
- Logging into the client’s Google business listing and optimizing information there to include the target search phrases
- Sharing the new blog posts on the customer’s social media page
- Linking to the customer’s site from my Facebook pages, groups and other spots
